About the role

Pugstorm is a Linköping-based game development studio founded by former LiU students in 2018. Since its inception, Pugstorm has grown into a multinational team of more than 30 full-time employees. The company is specialized in creating games with open, procedurally generated worlds, survival elements, and a strong focus on exploration, player creativity, and emergent gameplay experiences.

Pugstorms most recent game, Core Keeper, has captivated players with its immersive gameplay, where they find themselves stranded in an ancient cavern. Players must mine relics and resources to build their base, craft new equipment, survive, and power up the mysterious Core. To date, Core Keeper has sold 3 million copies.

They use a custom CI pipeline for all games, built on GitHub Actions and Docker. As they continue to enhance their development workflows, they are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to help them take the pipeline to the next level. In this role, you will primarily focus on improving and maintaining CI pipelines. However, you will also have opportunities to tackle a variety of general automation tasks. These tasks could include creating automated backup systems, building internal tools, and integrating workflows with other platforms like Discord.

As a part-time employee you will work approximately one day per week. You will mostly work remote and this is a long-term solution for Pugstorm.

We are looking for

  • Is studying something in the field of IT. This is a long-term student position. Therefore, you must not graduate before the summer of 2026
  • Have good knowledge in the english language

Is familiar with the following technologies:

  • Container Technologies: Expertise with Docker.
  • Programming Experience: Proficient in Bash scripting and other programming languages.
  • Linux Knowledge: Strong understanding of general Linux operations.
  • CI/CD Tools: Experience with GitHub Actions.

To succeed in the role, your personal skills are:
