The job responsibilities will include, for example, being responsible for the team’s deliveries, ensuring the backlog is followed, and representing the team at department meetings. You don’t need to know everything from the start; the most important factors are your ability and willingness to lead, organize, and drive the team’s work forward. You will work in a broad role with both PLC programming, testing, configuration and participate in planning meetings for the projects. You will collaborate with for example both production staff, other automation engineers and architects. The applications support everything R&D does in Embedded Software development and can include tools for managing development projects, requirement management tools, and procurement tools. All of these are related to various regulations, making these products very important from a safety perspective for Scania. For example, the risk analysis tool is used to analyze truck signals, how it is controlled, and what physical risks might arise to prevent accidents. You will also have a lot of contact with users to understand their needs and desires, and the products are primarily developed in Java, JavaScript, Python, and Velocity. You’ll be part of a social, multicultural team with approximately 10 other colleagues and your immediate manager, some of whom are former I-talents! You will work closely with others on the team, and they often arrange activities such as after-work gatherings, picnics, badminton, and other social activities outside of work. We are looking for someone with a strong interest in developing their programming skills, and if you also have knowledge (or a desire to learn) in DevOps, AWS, Gitlab, or CI/CD, that’s a plus but not a requirement. The most important thing is your willingness and commitment to grow!

The department includes around 40 employees, with our IUBC group currently consisting of 15 people. Your responsibilities will cover networking, LAN, WLAN, and network security. Scania is a large company with numerous users, and we believe this role is ideal for someone eager to gain a comprehensive understanding of how everything fits together from a technical standpoint. We expect you to have an educational background in IT/technology with a focus on networking and security, but the most important qualities are a willingness to learn, an open mind, and a strong sense of responsibility for your own growth!

The entire department consists of around 40 employees divided into three teams, which you will belong to one of them consisting of 14 people, including your closest manager. Examples of projects your team is currently involved in include building, maintaining, and monitoring Scania’s entire IT network, working with architecture, and ensuring that both Scania and TRATON employees have a network that functions well both technically and in terms of security. Here, you will be part of an engaged team with good collaboration, a wide age range, and a supportive culture where it’s okay to make mistakes—that’s how you learn! You’ll work closely with your team and the other two network groups, as well as with R&D, cloud teams, the security team, and those working with autonomous vehicles, providing them with support on various network-related tasks. A suitable background for this position is an education focused on networks and knowledge in Cisco. The focus is on traditional development, so we are looking for someone passionate about transformation and innovation—though not in the context of AI, machine learning or app development. Strong Java skills are essential, and experience in other languages, such as Python, is a plus. This position suits individuals who thrive on problem-solving and enjoy working with traditional development in an international environment.
