As a Product Lifecycle Engineer at OptiCept you will play a crucial role in product development, supporting process improvements, meeting requirements, and fulfilling current PLM system needs. Reporting to the Development Lead, you’ll collaborate closely with designers, production, suppliers, and sourcing. The role focuses on bringing product development to large-scale, manufacturable products. You’ll serve as a key liaison between production, supply chain, and hardware development, working from concept to production. With potential ownership of the PLM system, you’ll drive process improvements, ensure accurate documentation, and support sustainable growth.

You will have a varied role at a growing company where you are expected to take ownership right from the start and are encouraged to come up with suggestions for improvement, examples of job tasks are:

• Drive work on production documentation and quality improvements for both mechanical and electronic production
• Be responsible for technical documentation, product and component data
• Review technical documentations, for example an updated electrical schematic or mechanical drawing
• Documentation and measurements for functional verification, risk analysis, and validation against requirements specifications, as well as subsequent certification measurements

• Someone with previous worklife experience with Product Lifecycle Management processes
• A strong understanding of product data and product development in electronics and/or mechanics
• Knowledge in creation of technical documentation, production materials, and design review
• Comfortable with working in all parts of Microsoft Office
• Someone who can communicate clearly and is fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Driver's license

It is meritorious if you have

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, specializing in electronics, production, or design or similar. Other relevant higher education within technical fields may also be suitable, provided you have practical skills with technical components and assemblies
• Previously worked with high voltage

Knowledge can be gained through education, experience or self-taught.
